Micaela’s journey as an artist began as early as she can remember, with her childhood filled with drawings that captured the world around her. Whether copying shop signs or sketching on restaurant table covers, she always found herself drawn to the magic of creating art. From school days as “the artist”, designing banners and decorating notebooks, her passion only grew stronger. 

 

Though she started out working in pencil, it wasn’t until high school that painting found its way into her life, naturally and unexpectedly. Since then, she has never put the brush down, focusing on animals and nature as her primary subjects. She doesn’t adhere to a single style but allows her moods to dictate her art. Bright, bold colours are her trademark, turning every animal she creates into a lively, unforgettable character. 

 

For Micaela, art is an emotional journey. Each piece is infused with the feelings she’s experiencing at the time, expressed through vibrant colours and the body language of her subjects. Whether it’s a joyful burst of colour or a more contemplative pose, her work always evokes something powerful. She strives to create art that makes people pause, smile, or even laugh - anything but conventional, dull subjects like buildings or portraits. Her ultimate goal is for people to remember her art long after they’ve seen it, with a sense of wonder and joy.
